Bostik Boscoseal PU-X Product Description

Bostik Boscoseal PU-X is a ready-to-use, cold-applied, single-component, highly flexible polyurethane waterproofing material. Once cured, it forms a membrane with excellent abrasion resistance, mechanical resistance, chemical resistance, heat resistance, and UV resistance.

Product Description (PRODUCT DESCRIPTION)

Bostik Boscoseal PU-X is a ready-to-use, single-component, highly flexible polyurethane waterproofing material that can be installed without heat (Cold Applied Polyurethane Waterproofing).

Once fully cured, the material forms a waterproofing membrane with excellent resistance to abrasion, mechanical stress, chemicals, temperature, and UV radiation.

Applications (APPLICATIONS)

• Used for roof waterproofing in both new construction and refurbishment projects, suitable for both exposed and concealed waterproofing systems

• Used for cool roofing systems to improve energy efficiency

• Used for waterproofing flower beds and planter boxes

• Used for waterproofing parking areas as part of a flooring system designed to withstand vehicular traffic

• Used for waterproofing bridge decks, balconies, grandstands, and roof decks

• Used for waterproofing wet areas such as toilets, bathrooms, and kitchens, serving as an under-tiling waterproofing membrane (Under Tiling Membrane)

Consumption (CONSUMPTION)

Approximately 1.5–2 kg/m² for 2 coats, depending on the application method and substrate smoothness.

The specified consumption rate is a theoretical value. Therefore, a trial application on a sample area is recommended to control and verify actual material consumption before commencing work.

Directions of Use (DIRECTIONS OF USE)

– After applying a suitable primer, use a brush or roller to apply Bostik Boscoseal PU-X evenly over the entire area, following the procedures specified on the following page (Waterproofing Coating System).

– The second coat must be applied within 18 hours and should not exceed 48 hours. If installation is carried out using an Airless Spray System, the following requirements must be followed:

• Minimum Pressure: 220 bar

• Minimum Output: 5.1 liters/minute

• Minimum Nozzle Diameter: 0.83 mm (0.033 inches)

– Ensure that the waterproofing coating overlaps and extends at least 3 inches beyond the previously installed detailing strips.
