Brushbond TGP Product Description
Wastewater treatment and water treatment plants
Water storage tanks
Concrete pipes
Drainage pipes
Uses (Use)
Brushbond TGP is a concrete waterproofing system that provides protection against both positive and negative hydrostatic pressure. It is used for damp-proofing foundations, repairing hairline cracks, filling holes and voids, and sealing wall-to-floor joints.
Brushbond TGP can also stop active water leakage in most areas of various concrete structures, such as:
Wastewater treatment and water treatment plants
Water storage tanks and concrete pipes
Concrete pipes and tunnels
Foundations
Sumps and inspection chambers (Manholes)
Advantages (Advantages)
NSF certified for contact with drinking water in accordance with ANSI/NSF 61
Penetrates into concrete to seal capillary tracts and hairline cracks
Concrete retains its waterproofing properties even if the surface is damaged
Cost-effective
An effective waterproofing system for concrete subjected to hydrostatic pressure
Suitable for both above-ground and below-ground structures
Resistant to chemical attack from sewage, industrial waste, and de-icing salts
Suitable for both new and existing concrete, in interior and exterior applications
Chloride-free
Description (Description)
Brushbond TGP is a Crystalline Capillary Waterproofing System consisting of a blend of Portland cement, quartz aggregates, and special chemicals.
In the presence of moisture, the active chemicals in Brushbond TGP penetrate into the concrete and react chemically with free lime, forming insoluble crystals.
The growth of these crystals helps reduce the porosity of concrete by sealing capillaries and filling hairline cracks up to 0.25 mm wide caused by concrete shrinkage or expansion.
Unlike waterproofing membrane systems that act only as a surface barrier against water, Brushbond TGP can continuously form additional crystals when water is present within the concrete, helping provide long-lasting resistance to water penetration.
Brushbond TGP is a basic formulation for waterproofing applications. It can be used as a dry powder broadcast onto freshly poured concrete (Dry Shake) or mixed with water to form a waterproofing slurry coating (Slurry Coating) for application to concrete walls and floors.
