Nitoplate CP

(+15% Vat Included)

Nitoplate CP is a pultruded carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) plate system designed for the structural strengthening of concrete. It consists of unidirectional carbon fibers and is bonded to concrete or masonry substrates using Nitoplate CPA30—a thixotropic adhesive that is well-suited for overhead applications, such as those on the undersides of beams and slabs.

    What is Nitoplate CP?

Nitoplate CP is a pultruded carbon fiber composite plate system designed for strengthening concrete structures. It consists of unidirectional carbon fiber plates bonded to concrete or masonry substrates using Nitoplate CPA30 adhesive. The adhesive has thixotropic properties, making it suitable for overhead applications such as the undersides of beams and slabs.

    Nitoplate CP Main Applications

    Suitable for:

    • Increasing static and dynamic load-bearing capacity

    • Seismic strengthening of structures

    • Repairing structurally damaged concrete

    • Strengthening buildings and various civil engineering structures

    Nitoplate CP Key Features

    • Enhances flexural strength

    • High tensile strength and modulus of elasticity

    • Minimal disruption to existing structures

    • Corrosion-resistant with a long service life

    • Fast installation, reducing downtime

    • Lightweight, adding minimal additional load to the structure

    • The pultrusion process produces high-density plates suitable for strengthening in confined areas

    • Thixotropic adhesive facilitates overhead installation

    • The system has a low profile, minimizing the impact on structural dimensions and clearance

    • Can be cut to size on-site without the need for prefabrication

    Surface Preparation

    The concrete substrate must be:

    • Dry

    • Smooth

    • Free from dust and loose materials

    • Fully cured

    • Free from coatings

    • Free from impregnation treatments

    • Free from contaminants

Light abrasive blasting is recommended to remove unsuitable materials and create a suitable bonding surface. The surface should then be thoroughly vacuum-cleaned to remove dust.

    Surface defects such as:

    • Cracks

    • Spalled concrete

    • Blowholes

    • Surface irregularities

Should be repaired using suitable Nitomortar products in accordance with Fosroc’s recommendations.
