Preprufe 300R & 160R Product Description
GCP Applied Technologies (“GCP”) PREPRUFE® 300R & 160R are specially engineered composite membranes comprising a thick HDPE film, a pressure-sensitive adhesive, and a weather-resistant protective coating. PREPRUFE® 300R & 160R membranes are designed with ADVANCED BOND TECHNOLOGY™. These membranes form a unique integral bond with freshly poured concrete. This integral bond is specifically designed to create a robust barrier against water, moisture, and gases, and to prevent both water penetration and lateral water migration. The overlapping adhesive edges provide superior performance under demanding conditions without requiring specialized equipment, heat, or energy.
Advantages
Forms a continuous adhesive bond with freshly poured concrete, specifically designed to prevent water migration between the concrete and the membrane
Due to the continuous bond with freshly poured concrete, the waterproofing performance of PREPRUFE® 300R and 160R membranes is not affected by ground settlement beneath the slab
Designed with fully bonded, watertight adhesive seams and easy-to-install detailing. The system is designed to provide a barrier against water, moisture, and gases while physically isolating the structure from the surrounding ground
Fast and easy installation without requiring drilled holes
Can be applied to permanent formwork, allowing efficient use of confined spaces
Can be walked on immediately after installation and is ready for reinforcement placement
The installed membrane is unaffected by wet jobsite conditions and does not activate prematurely
Inherently waterproof as supplied. The passive, non-reactive waterproofing system does not require activation by water
Waterproofing performance does not depend on pressure or chemical hydration
The membrane is unaffected by freeze/thaw and wet/dry cycles
Chemical Resistance – Protects structures against attack from salts and sulfates and performs effectively in almost all types of soil and groundwater
Independently assessed and internationally certified
Provides protection against methane, carbon dioxide, and radon gases, exceeding the standard membrane requirements specified in BRE Reports 211 (Radon) and 212 (Methane and Carbon Dioxide)
BBA Certificate No. 97/3325
