Sikasil 670 Fire
Flexible Fire-Resistant Joint Sealant for Building Applications
Sikasil®-670 Fire is a one-component joint sealant specifically designed for applications requiring fire resistance. The product cures through atmospheric moisture, is easy to apply, and provides the flexibility needed to accommodate joint movement in construction applications.
This sealant is designed for joints and connections requiring fire protection on both porous and non-porous substrates, such as concrete, plaster, metal, glass, and common building materials. It provides good adhesion to a wide range of surfaces and excellent weather resistance, making it suitable for both interior and exterior applications.
Sikasil®-670 Fire provides fire resistance of up to 4 hours in accordance with EN 1366-4. It also accommodates joint movement of ±35% according to ASTM C 719, making it suitable for sealing applications requiring safety, durability, and a neat joint finish.
Applications of Sikasil 670 Fire
Sikasil®-670 Fire is suitable for fire-resistant joint sealing applications, such as:
Wall and floor joints in buildings
Joints around openings or connections requiring protection against fire spread
Sealing applications on porous substrates, such as concrete, plaster, and cementitious materials
Sealing applications on non-porous substrates, such as metal, glass, and smooth surfaces
Joints in commercial buildings, factories, high-rise buildings, and areas where fire safety is a priority
Interior and exterior applications requiring a weather-resistant sealant
