Application Method
Surface Preparation
This product is designed to be sprayed onto both surfaces to be bonded. Ensure that the surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dirt, dust, oil, loose paint, wax, grease, or other contaminants.
For maximum bonding performance, the adhesive and substrate temperatures should be between 16°C and 27°C during application.
Spray Equipment and Canister Preparation
Use the product in a well-ventilated area. It is recommended to shake the adhesive canister thoroughly before use.
Attach the hose to the spray gun fitted with the appropriate spray nozzle and tighten the connection securely. Then connect the other end of the hose to the adhesive canister. Ensure that all hose connections and valves are securely tightened.
Slowly open the valve on the adhesive canister fully while checking for leaks. Then unlock the spray gun trigger to begin application.
Testing and Adhesive Spraying
Before application, test the adhesive’s compatibility with the substrate by spraying a small sample area, as the product may cause deterioration or damage to certain materials.
Spray the adhesive from a distance of approximately 10–20 cm, keeping the nozzle at a 90-degree angle to the surface. Apply the adhesive evenly to achieve 100% surface coverage.
If necessary, apply additional adhesive to areas with insufficient coverage. Spray the adhesive onto both surfaces to be bonded, applying it vertically on one surface and horizontally on the other.
Allow the solvent to evaporate until the adhesive becomes tacky and ready for bonding. Perform a knuckle test by lightly touching the adhesive with your knuckle. If no adhesive transfers to your skin, the surfaces are ready to be joined.
Bonding and Pressing Materials
Bring the two surfaces together and apply firm, appropriate pressure.
It is recommended to use a roller to distribute pressure evenly across the entire surface and achieve maximum bond strength.
Allow the adhesive to cure completely for 24 hours.
Spray Nozzle Cleaning
If the spray nozzle becomes blocked, remove it from the spray gun and clean it with a suitable solvent, such as lacquer thinner or TensorGrip® C101 Citrus Cleaner.
Do not insert needles or sharp objects into the nozzle opening, as this may damage the nozzle.
Precautions
For overhead installations, a continuous perimeter bead of construction adhesive, such as TensorBond ACA, must be used in conjunction with this product to provide additional bonding security.
Not recommended for use on plasticised vinyl substrates.
