Instructions for Use (INSTRUCTION FOR USE)
Joint Preparation (JOINT PREPARATION)
Joints in concrete surfaces must be properly prepared to the correct shape and dimensions. The surfaces must be dry, sound, and clean.
For porous substrates, cleaning should be carried out by grinding, saw cutting, or blast cleaning.
After preparing the joints, use dry, oil-free compressed air to thoroughly clean the inside of the joints and remove any remaining dust and debris.
Ensure that the expansion joint filler is securely installed within the joint and positioned at the specified depth.
Then install a bond breaker at the bottom of the joint.
Priming (PRIMING)
Apply Primer N49 using a clean, dry brush. Allow approximately 30 minutes for the solvent to evaporate before applying the sealant.
The sealant must be applied while the primer remains in a tacky condition.
If the primer has dried completely and become tack-free, the surface must be re-primed before applying the sealant.
Mixing (MIXING)
Pour the entire contents of the Curing Agent into the container holding the Base component. Mix thoroughly using a low-speed mixer for 3 minutes until both components are completely blended into a homogeneous mixture.
After mixing, the sealant can be loaded into a suitable sealant gun. Dispense the mixed sealant into the joint, ensuring that the finished sealant surface is recessed below the level of the trafficked surface as specified.
Wipe off all excess sealant from the surfaces while the material is still uncured.
Remove the masking tape completely before the sealant cures.
Cleaning (CLEANING)
Clean uncured material and application equipment immediately after completing the work using a suitable solvent.
