    Application (APPLICATION)

    Substrate Preparation (SUBSTRATE PREPARATION)

    – Concrete surfaces must be free from laitance and dust and should be cleaned by sandblasting. If sandblasting is not possible, the surface may be thoroughly cleaned using a stiff wire brush, although this method is less effective than sandblasting.

    – The key factors for achieving good coating adhesion are substrate cleanliness, surface roughness, and dryness. If the substrate is not properly prepared to meet these conditions, the performance of the coating system cannot be guaranteed.

    – The substrate moisture content must be below 4%.

    – Iron and steel surfaces must be free from rust, oxide deposits, dust, grease, and other contaminants that may interfere with coating adhesion.

    – The most suitable surface preparation method is sandblasting to a cleanliness grade of Sa 2½. Bostik ZNP Primer must then be applied immediately after rust and other contaminants have been removed from the surface.

    Priming (PRIMING)

Priming is required for steel surfaces. After proper surface preparation, apply Bostik ZNP Primer, an Epoxy Zinc Phosphate Primer, to help protect the steel surface.

    Mixing (MIXING)

Before adding Component B (Hardener), thoroughly stir Block E550 Epoxycote UW Component A (Base) until uniformly mixed.

Then pour Component B (Hardener) into Component A and mix for 2 minutes using a low-speed mixer fitted with a suitable mixing paddle to obtain a uniform and homogeneous coating material.
