Conbextra BB80 Product Description
Conbextra BB80 produces a free-flowing grout when a controlled amount of clean water is added. It provides high early and ultimate strength, as well as long-term durability. It is suitable for applications with thicknesses ranging from 10 mm to 100 mm. Greater thicknesses can be achieved by incorporating clean, dry 10 mm aggregates.
Uses
Conbextra BB80 is an Exceptionally High Strength Grout designed for grouting beneath bridge bearings, parapet posts, flanged lighting columns, heavily loaded steel column bases, and baseplates supporting reciprocating machines.
Non-shrink
High compressive strength at both early ages and after full curing
Excellent flow properties, particularly under low-temperature conditions
Low permeability, providing long-term durability
Can be applied by both pouring and pumping methods
Standards Compliance
Conbextra BB80 has been specially formulated to comply with the requirements of ASTM C1107 Grade C.
Description
Conbextra BB80 is a ready-to-use, dry powder grout supplied in 25 kg plastic bags. It has been specially formulated for grouting beneath bridge bearings, parapet posts, heavily loaded steel column bases, and structural baseplates.
When a properly controlled amount of clean water is added, the grout achieves excellent flow properties, high early and ultimate compressive strength, and long-term durability. It is suitable for grouting applications with thicknesses ranging from 10–100 mm.
For applications requiring greater thicknesses, the grout thickness can be increased by incorporating clean, washed, 10 mm coarse aggregates in a Saturated Surface Dry (SSD) condition.
Specification
Supplier Specification
All grouting work must be carried out using Conbextra BB80, a Non-Shrink Cementitious Grout manufactured by Fosroc.
Storage, mixing, placing, and curing of the material must be carried out in accordance with the recommendations specified in the manufacturer’s current Technical Data Sheet.
Performance Specification
All high-strength grouting applications (with specified details and application areas) must use a Pre-Packaged Cement Based Product, mixed with the specified amount of clean water at a Water:Powder Ratio of 0.15.
The grout must achieve the following compressive strength values at the specified curing ages:
At 24 hours: Compressive strength of 45 N/mm²
At 3 days: Compressive strength of 60 N/mm²
At 7 days: Compressive strength of 70 N/mm²
At 28 days: Compressive strength of 85 N/mm²
