The product documentation clearly specifies the system layers in sequence: filler undercoat, fiberglass mesh, base color, finishing coat, and line marking paint.

    Surface Preparation

Before installing the system, the substrate must have sufficient strength to withstand service conditions, be dry, smooth, free from loose or delaminated materials, and have an appropriate slope for rainwater drainage.

For concrete substrates, the product documentation specifies a curing period of at least 28 days, no rising moisture, and a residual moisture content not exceeding 3%. If the residual moisture content does not exceed 3%, Mapecoat TNS Primer EPW should be used as the primer. However, if the residual moisture content is between 3–6%, Triblock P should be applied as a moisture barrier before installing the system.

For bituminous or asphalt substrates, a curing period of at least 15–20 days is required. The surface must be dry, smooth, free from loose or delaminated materials, and have an appropriate slope to facilitate rainwater drainage.

    Precautions

    • The substrate must be inspected for strength, dryness, smoothness, and appropriate slope before installation

    • Concrete substrates must be free from rising moisture

    • If the substrate has a residual moisture content of 3–6%, Triblock P should be used as a moisture barrier

    • Severely damaged asphalt substrates should be removed and repaired using suitable materials before installing the system

    • Ambient temperature during application should be between +10°C and +35°C

    • Substrate temperature must be at least 3°C above the dew point

    • Follow the Technical Data Sheet of each product used in the system

    • For applications involving substrates or environmental conditions that differ from those specified in the documentation, consult the MAPEI Technical Department before proceeding
