SikaControl®-500 WT
SikaControl®-500 WT is a water-resisting and crystalline waterproofing admixture used to reduce concrete permeability and enhance the self-healing properties of concrete with a thickness exceeding 300 mm.
Applications
SikaControl®-500 WT is specially formulated for the production of high-quality watertight concrete. Concrete treated with SikaControl®-500 WT is used as part of the Sika Watertight Concrete System.
SikaControl®-500 WT can be used in below-grade, in-ground, and underground watertight structures, such as:
Basements
Parking garages
Tunnels
Water-retaining structures
Dams
Wastewater treatment structures and underground commercial facilities (shopping malls, transportation hubs, etc.)
Features / Advantages
SikaControl®-500 WT consists of a blend of cement, amino alcohols, and fillers. These active ingredients form insoluble materials throughout the pores and capillary structure of concrete, permanently sealing the concrete against the penetration of water and other liquids. In addition, the special formulation and ingredients of SikaControl®-500 WT enhance the self-healing properties of concrete and improve its ability to seal cracks.
