    EnergyGuard™ Polyiso Product Description

EnergyGuard™ Polyiso is a flat insulation board manufactured with glass fiber-reinforced (GRF) cellulosic facers bonded to a polyisocyanurate foam core. EnergyGuard™ Polyiso is widely used in commercial construction for both new construction and renovation projects and is compatible with various roofing systems. To prevent thermal bridging, we recommend installing EnergyGuard in two layers with staggered joints.

Product Features and Benefits (Features and Benefits)

    – Versatile – The product is approved for use as a component in Single Ply roofing systems, Built-Up Roofing (BUR) systems, and Modified Bitumen roofing systems. It can be installed using various methods, including Mechanically Attached, Fully Adhered, Loose Laid, and Ballasted applications.

    – Approved for direct installation over steel roof decks.

    – Provides high thermal insulation performance. Polyisocyanurate (Polyiso) insulation offers a higher thermal resistance (R-Value) per inch of thickness than other non-Polyiso insulation materials when compared at the same thickness.

    – Its lightweight design allows convenient transportation and handling of materials on construction sites, as well as fast installation. The insulation boards can be easily cut and trimmed on-site, allowing installers to adjust their dimensions and shapes to suit roof deck requirements.

    – Excellent Dimensional Stability, high moisture resistance, and low water permeability.

    Panel Characteristics

    – Available in various thicknesses ranging from 1.0 inch (25.4 mm) to 4.6 inches (116 mm) to meet the specifications and requirements of individual projects.

    – Available in the following board sizes:

    • 4 × 4 feet (1.22 × 1.22 meters)

    • 4 × 8 feet (1.22 × 2.44 meters)

    – Flute Fill insulation boards and other custom sizes can be manufactured upon request.

    – Other EnergyGuard™ product options are available, including Tapered insulation boards, CGF Facer insulation boards, and Non-Halogenated insulation boards. Additional information can be found in the respective product Technical Data Sheets.
