Sikagard®-700 S

(+15% Vat Included)

Siloxane-based Water-repellent Impregnation

Sikagard®-700 S is a one-component, water-repellent impregnation for absorbent cementitious substrates. It penetrates effectively into the open pores of the surface, providing durable water repellency while allowing water vapor to diffuse in both directions. Sikagard®-700 S complies with the requirements of EN 1504-2 for hydrophobic impregnation (penetration depth class I).

  • ลดการดูดซับน้ำในรูพรุน

Sikagard®-700 S Water-Repellent Impregnation for Surface Protection

Product Description (DESCRIPTION)

Sikagard®-700 S is a one-component water-repellent impregnation designed to prevent water absorption on porous cementitious substrates.

The product effectively penetrates the pores of the substrate, providing long-lasting water-repellent properties while allowing water vapor to diffuse through the surface in both directions.

Sikagard®-700 S complies with the requirements of EN 1504-2 for hydrophobic impregnation, with a penetration depth classified as Class I.

Applications (USES)

Sikagard®-700 S is used as a clear water-repellent impregnation to prevent water absorption and protect porous substrates exposed to environmental conditions, such as concrete, cementitious renders, concrete tiles, fiber cement, masonry (clay bricks and non-vitrified sand-lime bricks), and natural stone.

Sikagard®-700 S can also be used as a hydrophobic primer before applying solvent-based protective coatings or emulsion coatings.

Sikagard®-700 S is used as a hydrophobic impregnation treatment for porous substrates, such as concrete in civil engineering works or concrete building structures.

  • Suitable for protection against ingress (Principle 1, Method 1.1 according to EN 1504-9)

  • Suitable for moisture control (Principle 2, Method 2.1 according to EN 1504-9)

  • Suitable for increasing the electrical resistivity of concrete (Principle 8, Method 8.1 according to EN 1504-9)

Features / Benefits (CHARACTERISTICS / ADVANTAGES)

  • Reduces capillary water absorption through the fine pores of materials

  • Helps reduce efflorescence on surfaces

  • Reduces the penetration of dirt into surface pores

  • Helps improve thermal insulation performance

  • Can be overcoated with solvent-based coatings and dispersion coatings

  • Provides greater durability and protective performance than conventional silicone-based surface treatments

  • Generally does not alter the appearance of the substrate

  • Helps reduce the penetration and migration of chloride ions

  • Does not act as a vapor barrier, allowing water vapor to continue diffusing through the surface

Approvals / Certifications (APPROVALS / CERTIFICATES)

  • Tested by LPM in accordance with the performance testing requirements of SIA 162/5, Report No. A-13719-2, dated April 1993. Tests covered water absorption, penetration depth, alkali resistance, and water vapor diffusion.

  • Complies with EN 1504-2 Class I requirements, as verified by MPL, Sika Tüffenwies, dated September 2008.

  • Classified as a hydrophobic impregnation product in accordance with EN 1504-2 and CE marked.
