Product Description

Bostik Smartflex Plus Hybrid is a one-component hybrid technology sealant with a medium-to-high modulus, suitable for general construction applications. It can be used on a wide range of building materials, including both porous and non-porous substrates.

The product provides high adhesion strength and bonds effectively to most substrates, including damp surfaces. It is a versatile sealant that does not form bubbles during curing, even when applied in high-humidity environments.

Applications

Bostik Smartflex Plus Hybrid is a versatile sealant suitable for general expansion joints and connection joints in construction applications. It can be used on a wide range of building materials, including:

Aluminum composite panels
Stainless steel
Mild steel
Galvanized steel
Window frames and door frames
Unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (UPVC)

For concrete substrates, proper surface preparation is required to improve adhesion, or a suitable primer must be applied before use.

Application Method

Properly sized joints can effectively accommodate movement between building materials. The joint depth must be correctly proportioned to the joint width.

General guidelines for determining joint dimensions are as follows:

For joints with a width of up to 10 mm, use a depth-to-width ratio of 1:1, with a minimum joint width and depth of 5 mm.
For joints wider than 10 mm, calculate the joint depth by dividing the joint width by 3 and adding 6 mm.
