Nitocote SN522 allows water vapor to escape from the substrate while significantly reducing the absorption of water and waterborne salts.
Applications (Use)
Nitocote SN522 is a siliconate-based surface treatment that provides water-repellent properties and prevents water absorption without leaving a visible coating. It is suitable for masonry, cement renders, concrete, limestone, and chalk surfaces.
The product is particularly suitable for application by dipping precast concrete elements, tiles, and other materials.
Unlike conventional silicone-based water-repellent coatings, Nitocote SN522 can be applied to damp substrates.

Product Description (Description)
Nitocote SN522 is a single-component, penetrating silane-siloxane treatment system. It penetrates deeply into porous substrates and reacts chemically to form a hydrophobic lining bonded within the pores of the material.
Although the treated surface remains permeable to water vapor, allowing moisture vapor from within the substrate to escape, it significantly reduces the absorption of water and dissolved or waterborne salts into the substrate.
Nitocote SN522 does not cause discoloration of most substrates and provides excellent resistance to weathering.
