Proofex GP Product Description
The polymer-modified bitumen adhesive layer of Proofex GP is protected on its underside by silicone release paper, which must be removed before applying Proofex GP to a substrate primed with a tack coat.
The installed membrane must then be immediately protected against UV radiation and mechanical damage during subsequent backfilling by using protection boards or a sand/cement screed.
Applications (Uses)
Proofex GP is used to form a continuously bonded waterproof membrane for building and civil engineering structures.
Product Advantages (Advantages)
Cold applied without requiring heat
Fast installation
Uniform thickness of the polymer-modified bitumen membrane
Good adhesion to properly primed concrete substrates
Forms a continuous, seamless waterproofing membrane
Product Description (Description)
Proofex GP is a self-adhesive sheet waterproofing membrane designed for cold application without the use of heat. It consists of a polymer-modified bitumen layer with a polyethylene film on its upper surface.
The polymer-modified bitumen adhesive layer on the underside of the membrane is protected by a removable silicone release film, which must be removed before installing Proofex GP onto a substrate that has been treated with a primer.
After installation, the waterproofing membrane must be protected against UV radiation and mechanical damage that may occur during backfilling by using suitable protective materials, such as the recommended Concure Protection Material or a sand/cement screed.
