What is Sika MonoTop®-610 T?
Sika MonoTop®-610 T is a one-component, ready-mixed cementitious material modified with polymers, silica fume, and corrosion inhibitors. It is designed for concrete bonding and corrosion protection of reinforcing steel in concrete repair applications.
Sika MonoTop®-610 T Main Applications
Used as:
A bonding agent between existing concrete and repair mortar
A corrosion protection coating for reinforcing steel
Can be used in conjunction with concrete repair systems such as Sika MonoTop®-614 T and Sika MonoTop®-615 T
Sika MonoTop®-610 T Product Features
The key advantage of Sika MonoTop®-610 T is its one-component formulation, making it easy to use by simply mixing it with clean water. It can be applied using a brush, roller, or spray equipment. The product provides excellent adhesion to both concrete and reinforcing steel, offers resistance to water and chloride penetration, can be applied to damp surfaces, delivers high mechanical strength, and contains corrosion inhibitors to help protect reinforcing steel.
Surface Preparation
Concrete Substrate
The concrete surface must be clean and free from dust, oil, grease, loose mortar, and other contaminants. The surface should be pre-dampened with clean water before application.
Reinforcing Steel
All rust, oil, grease, and contaminants must be completely removed. Cleaning can be carried out using a wire brush, water jetting, or other suitable methods to remove rust before application.
Mixing Instructions
Pour clean water into a mixing container first, then gradually add Sika MonoTop®-610 T. Mix thoroughly using a spatula or trowel until a thick, creamy, and lump-free consistency is achieved.
