    Surface Preparation

Before installing the PU Multisport Comfort Rec system, the substrate must be inspected to ensure sufficient strength for the intended application. It must be dry, smooth, and free from loose or delaminated materials. Concrete substrates must be cured for at least 28 days, be free from rising moisture, and have a residual moisture content not exceeding 3%.

For concrete substrates, the surface should be prepared using mechanical methods, such as shot blasting or diamond grinding, to remove contaminants, weak cement paste, and unsound materials. The surface must then be thoroughly vacuum-cleaned before installing the system. If the substrate has a residual moisture content between 3% and 6%, the product documentation recommends using Triblock P according to the appropriate system.

For asphalt or bituminous substrates, a curing period of at least 15–20 days is required. The surface must be dry, smooth, and free from loose or delaminated materials. If cracks or deep depressions are present, they must be repaired using suitable products before installing the sports flooring system.
