Silcor 560 is a high-performance, one-component, pure polyurethane elastomer waterproofing membrane with low odor and high solids content. It is specially formulated for roller application to create a permanently flexible, thick, durable, and long-lasting waterproofing membrane.

Silcor® 560 / Silcor® 560 LS is made from pure polyurethane elastomer without bitumen or coal tar, preventing bleeding or staining of the surface. The product is designed for high-build application without requiring multiple coats or reinforcement fabric. It can be incorporated into a complete waterproofing envelope system using waterproofing products from GCP Applied Technologies.

Wet areas such as bathrooms, shower areas, laundry rooms, toilets, and spas
Exterior areas protected by covering materials and not directly exposed to weather conditions, such as balconies, roof decks, window perimeters, podium decks, and planter boxes
Structural waterproofing applications, including retaining walls, landscaped areas, ponds, decorative waterfalls, and non-potable water storage tanks
Suitable for application on various sound and stable substrates, including concrete blocks, bricks, concrete, plastered surfaces, wood, cellulose fiber cement (CFC) boards, glass-reinforced concrete (GRC), and autoclaved lightweight concrete (ALC)
Suitable for both vertical and horizontal surfaces
Silcor 560 can be manually applied to both vertical and horizontal surfaces
Silcor 560 LS is a low-viscosity product that can be spray-applied to horizontal surfaces and has self-leveling properties
Substrate Preparation
The substrate must be sound, smooth, and free from dust, cement laitance, loose materials, oil, and other contaminants.
Concrete should be cured for at least 28 days, while plastered surfaces should be cured for at least 7 days.
Use Silcor LM PU sealant to seal joints, cracks, and gaps, and to form coves at internal corners or around pipes and other surface penetrations.
Bond Breaker Application
Use Silcor LM PU sealant as a bond breaker. Allow the sealant applied to joints and detailed areas to cure until a surface skin has formed before proceeding with the installation of the waterproofing membrane over the general surface areas.
Installation
Primer Application
To prevent pinholes and seal dusty or porous substrates, apply one coat of Silcor Primer BS at a consumption rate of 8–10 m²/kg and allow it to dry.
Use Silcor Primer BW F100 to seal damp concrete surfaces or newly placed concrete that has not fully cured.
For PVC or stainless steel surfaces, roughen the substrate before applying Silcor Primer BW F100.
Application of Continuous Membrane
Apply Silcor 560 / Silcor 560 LS evenly over the entire surface using a brush, rubber squeegee, roller, or airless spray equipment. Allow each coating layer to dry completely before applying the next coat.
Apply the membrane to achieve a total wet film thickness (WFT) of at least 1.8 mm, ensuring the specified dry film thickness (DFT) of at least 1.5 mm. The membrane can be applied in one or two coats.
During application, the wet film thickness should be checked using a Wet Film Thickness Gauge.
Precaution: The product should not be used on surfaces subjected to direct pedestrian traffic or foot traffic.
