Thioflex 600 Product Description
Thioflex 600 is particularly suitable for joints in heavily trafficked areas and for sealing movement joints in buildings and civil engineering structures, including superstructures, basements, and underground railway systems.
Thioflex 600 Gun Grade is suitable for general-purpose applications. It is supplied in 2.5-liter containers containing the base component and curing agent in the correct proportions for mixing.
Thioflex 600 polysulphide sealant is particularly suitable for high-rise buildings and other applications where access for subsequent maintenance is difficult, as it reduces the risk of premature joint movement failure. It is also ideal for sealing joints in brickwork, retaining walls, basements, and underground railway structures, in both new construction and refurbishment projects.
Thioflex 600 Pouring Grade is available in 5-liter containers, with the base component and hardener supplied in separate removable compartments. It is recommended for the initial sealing of expansion and stress-relief joints in floors, as well as other horizontal joint sealing applications.
Product Description
Thioflex 600 is a multi-component joint sealant manufactured from liquid polysulphide polymer. When the components are mixed and applied, a chemical curing reaction occurs, forming a tough, durable, and flexible rubber-like sealant.
Once cured, the sealant provides excellent adhesion to a wide range of properly primed substrates, including concrete, glass, aluminum, and stainless steel.
Thioflex 600 is available in both Gun Grade and Pouring Grade, with the following specifications:
Gun Grade: Suitable for general joint sealing applications. Supplied in 2.5-liter containers containing the base component and curing agent in the correct proportions, ready for mixing before application.
Pouring Grade: Suitable for sealing joints on horizontal surfaces. Supplied in 5-liter kits, with the base component and curing agent packaged separately.
Both grades are available in grey only.
For applications requiring colored sealants, Fosroc recommends Nitoseal MS300, a high-performance, one-component sealant based on silyl-terminated polyether technology. Available colors include white, grey, black, Portland, brick red, and brown.
